Ok, on first install, the internet worked exactly as it was supposed to. Something went wrong, and I had to reinstall. Now the wireless is just plain flaky. Here's what I mean...
First, I used "Simple network setup", and it worked. Trouble is it did not auto-connect on startup. So, every time I had to reenter all of the network info.
Now, I try "Network wizard". Network wizard Has this to say...
Failed to raise interface wlan0
Failed command was:ifconfig wlan0 up
Error returned was:
ifconfig: SIOCSIFFLAGS: No such device"
Trying to load either of the drivers for this card yields no results.
Funny this is, after using network wizard, simple network setup doesn't work anymore. It now starts saying...
"Failed to activate interface 'wlan0. Sometimes this is just a temporary problem. Go back to the main window, and you can try again."
Try again, as I might, it still doesn't work....ever again!
I am using Lucid Puppy 5.2.8, and the wireless adapter is a broadcom B43. The laptop is a Compaq V6105NR.
