I can play 'store bought' music CDs using PMusic with no problem. Try it with GNome player and nogo. Keeps going hi-lo or on off Actually haven't been able to make Gnome play anything. what's it for?
PMusic works Gnome Player doesn't (OS is 5.3)(6 posts) (5 voices)
How are you attempting to play the store bought music CDs with Gnome player?
Never mind. I see your point after clicking on Play on the desktop and selecting Audio CD. Those pauses absolutely make it a no go as you say.
I will have to do some investigation into that as it just does not seem right.
This might be the effect of DRM, as pre SOPA clampdown tto make store bought copyright music unplayable in copying software...?
It was certainly discussed/suggested by them...
I have used Streamtuner2 along with streamripper to record internet radio and then create CDs my wife and I can play on trips where we are in an area where radio reception stinks.
I can select the songs I want to put on the CD and burn them as tracks with song title and artist information displayed on the car's CD readout display.
Try installing version 1.0.2 of GNOME MPlayer, a user said it solved some problems in Slacko. Or try a former version (or the latest version) of Pmusic.
mplayer had been difficult always to me .
music was bad but video might be ok .
there are many settings in the gnome-mplayer to adjust like xv OR x11 for the video .
preprocessing of files did not work for me as i thought they would .
Using gxine for music and some videos .
Today gxine failed at one video dvd after a while .
mount /dev/sr0 /mnt/sr0
showed more than 5gb of .VOB files .
