For years I've been following Haiku.
Tried to run it several times, but no luck.
Now it seems to have become an almost-beta...(but still no Flash)
and the reviews are becoming more positive...
Anyone here following Haiku?
I tried Haiku on old PC 333MHz 256Mb Ram. It was good and light. It was even lighter then Puppy but it doesn't have ppp and I couldn't connect to Internet.
Probably a stupid question, but, is there a way to install Haiku as frugal install, the same way as different puplets?
Took me a while to find the installer! No frugal found so far. Too many issues outstanding. Give them another half-decade or so. Surprising that so many allegedly clued-up developers have failed to adopt the amazing skills and devices adopted by BK to make their offerings, faster, lighter, more intuitive and appropriate.
Today I was playing a little bit with Haiku booted as live CD.
Though the OS itself seems to be very interesting and original, I was dissapointed realizing that, for examnple, there is no office suite available...
On Pemasu's Snow Puppy 14, I've been using the icons labeled 'Haiku.' Are they ported or copied from that OS, by any chance?
