oops sorry Aitch I should have read this post from you before reading q5sys and answering him.
Aitch from above
Yes it is not easy at all. We all seems to have very different slant on things.
That is why I wanted a place we could talk without getting quoted and made joke about.
(Something odd about the hash # coming out as Japanese Yen sign instead of being a hash)
Could be my FF having wrong set up?
Anyway. I think the only way to drive traffic here is to find a niche that makes it attractive.
I trust that statistically most humans are going by habit so if one are used to be active on
one forum then the only reason one get active on another is that them have something the other lack?
I joined Antix to talk about Antix. Too few wanting to do that on Murga :)
Proteus linux was not popular to talk about on LQ the others into Slack did not think
of it as real Slackware so to find a niche for puppy talk here that is lacking over there.
I trust such need to come from inner motivation and to be 100% volunteer.
So Raffy and Aitch and 8.bit and Lobster and all of you those not mentioned not forgotten.
You guys need to share what the inner drive is. What could you sustain without feeling forced to.
I am into frugal boot on NTFS not that I am good at it. I am bad at it but it is an inner motivation.
I do it as a volunteer and don't feel forced as long none demand that I write about it
then I can feel very haunted or cornered into a blind alley. Example. I failed at booting
Zeven Linux OS on one computer but succeeded on another. What was that about. Why would it fail?
Such is interesting to me.
Another thing that is very interesting is this. Despite Ubuntu being very reluctant to help
user to be root due to them wanting to protect the user if one boot in frugal iso boot on
ntfs then one can do things that I have failed for 5 years doing with sudo su or anything them/they
tried to explain on the ubuntu forum.
And now when I ask three such forum then none answer either. Such is very interesting.
But I don't trust it bring any others than me here.
And in case any of you wonder. I am nooby
and I am not .nooby that also has joined our forum.
When I do a search for .nooby or ".nooby" on google
then only my posts comes up so not sure why him want
to be .nooby only here and not somewhere else.
odd choice of name indeed. :)
while I am at it. Someone suggested that to present oneself should
be obligatory? Could that be made into a rule or something.
I am very curious on the background of .nooby I totally fail to find
one single post by him on the internet. Maybe I am bad at google advanced
search. I do find others naming themselves nooby though but not .nooby
and due to the fact that I have got many many request of reset of password
it gives an odd impression. I come to think of impersonators?
